All 25 years of my career as an educator have been spent at Lumpkin County Middle School. After tutoring at the middle school for two years in college, I knew that LCMS was the place where I wanted to be. I taught 6th grade Math during my first year and followed that up with several years in 6th grade Science. At that time, I was approached by administration about taking a new position with the school as technology specialist. I thoroughly enjoyed my years in the classroom but I realized this was an opportunity to go beyond the four walls of my classroom and help better educate students school-wide. Technology is wonderful tool that can assist in making teaching strategies more effective to enhance student learning.
