Sr. Rambin's class had a great time with their guest speaker, Jacqueline Nilsen. She’s a Colombian born international artist and entrepreneur. They discussed all things Colombia, Latin rhythms, and learned a coordinación musical.

Help us celebrate Steve Calabro, Cory Jackson, and Mason Hester for their dedication, creativity, and incredible impact on our culture! Your hard work and passion inspire us all-thank you for making a difference every day!

Sr. Rambin's class enjoyed a Spanish Immersion field trip down to the Latin themed mall Plaza Fiesta. There they enjoyed using Spanish and trying new foods. Many thanks to the Lumpkin County Education Foundation for sponsoring this trip!

Calling all 10th, 11th or 12th graders! Sign up in the counselor's office to take the ASVAB. It's a career exploration tool or helps find qualifications for military job placement.
Test Date: November 20th in the JROTC RIfle Range @ 7:45

At XC Sectionals with Regions 5,6,7,and 8 in Ringgold. Witt Windham ran 15:59, breaking the 16 minute mark in the 5k and placing 2nd overall. Boys placed 3rd overall and brought home a trophy.
The girls performed great as well. Keli George medaled in the race in 20.00 minutes and broke her personal record on that course by 51 seconds. All of the varsity girls ran well and placed 8th overall. Both boys & girls go into the State competition next.

A huge thank you to Mansfield Oil representatives, Marshall Anderson and Christy Williams, who came to make special Halloween Snacks with our ACS department.  

The LCHS CTAE department hosted partners from business and industry. Teams worked on several ongoing initiatives to increase economic development in our area. We are fortunate to have great relationships with so many partners.

Culinary students took a field trip beyond county lines to Ellijay Mushrooms, where they explored the fascinating process of growing and cooking mushrooms. 🍄 A huge thank you to Howard Berk for welcoming our students and sharing his expertise!

LCHS Counselors will be helping Seniors apply to colleges all day 8:00AM - 2:00PM on November 4th and 5th in the Media Center. Seniors can sign up now for one day or both days on their 2026 Google Classroom. They will need to bring with them:

1. Chromebook or personal computer
2. Driver's License, Learner's Permit or Passport (legal picture ID)
3. SSN

We will also have admissions staff in the Media Center from the following colleges on the days indicated:

November 4th:
University of North GA (UNG)
Kennesaw State University (KSU)
Augusta University (AU)
Lanier Technical College (LTC)

November 5th:
Kennesaw State University (KSU)
University of West Georgia (UWG)
