Speaking from experience, it is often hard to help students realize the impact of science on society much less the global decisions made for society as a result of science. Providing them with laboratory type experiences helps them make that connection. Ms. Westafer's science classes are taking it one GIANT leap further by conducting research here on campus that could provide insight and clarity for a real global issue. Hats off to Ms. Westafer for making science come alive for Environmental Science classes this year. I am excited to analyze the data they collect and read through their theories and suggestions at the end. Together we are making a difference at Lumpkin County High School. #FocusedForward
