Mr. Haight's class is using m&m minis to study regression in Statistical Reasoning! Fun!
Mrs. Nicholas and Coach Estenson are thankful for their creative and collaborative students, in Physical Science, who are working together to create a Rube Goldberg Machine. They brainstormed ideas of what they wanted the machine to do. Then they created a plan deciding on the various functions throughout the machine. They voted on a machine that will click a computer mouse to start music in their classroom. The Rube Goldberg machine will need to complete a minimum of 6 functions involving pulleys, levers, ramps, fans, blocks, cars, marbles, and so much more. Students will test how many successful runs the machine makes and make adjustments as needed.
It may be Thanksgiving Break, but these dedicated HOSA members and their advisor, Dr. Alhadeff, are giving back to the community by completing some yard work for a local couple!

AP Environmental Science classes took a tour of the most ecologically clean stadium in the world, Mercedes-Benz. We learned all of their innovative techniques to be a Green Stadium.
LCHS hosted the LC Retired Educators for their annual Thanksgiving luncheon and meeting today. Special guests included the LCHS Chorus for a performance and Superintendent Dr. Rob Brown. Thank you to Mrs. Eudy and Mrs. Bell for hosting in The Study!

Veterans, Thank you for your sacrifices, for your valor, for protecting us, and for defending our rights. Your courage, strength and dedication to keeping us safe is unmatched. The ceremony held today at LCHS reminded us that freedom isn't to be taken lightly. LCHS wants to say that we support you! We appreciate the efforts that both the LC Band of Gold and JROTC Program gave to make it a success!
Today LCHS hosted some of the community's veterans and honored various winners! Special shout out to Radford Windham and Mark Wall for designing and making the plaques!
Culinary Arts celebrated our community's veterans with in house Tribe Spice chili and Indian Nation Chili with southern made cornbread. Mrs. Lincoln's students also served homemade blueberry cobbler to give a sweet end to the meal. Great work students and thank you to our Veterans!
Congrats to Boys XC as Region champions. They posted a GHSA AAA State Runner-Up finish which is the best finish in school history while the girls secured 8th place matching the best finish in program history! The season included the first-ever Region Championship for the boys and the first time in school history that both teams finished in the top-10 in the state in the same year. Wyatt Windham (4th), Ben Sherrill (7th), Keli George (12th) and Sam Edwards (13th) each recorded top-15 individual finishes for LCHS.
