Attendees at the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders conference in Athens, Georgia were invited to submit the name of an educator into a drawing for a $500 prize. The only requirement for submission was that the individual makes a positive difference in his/her school.
With so many outstanding educators in Lumpkin County, it was difficult to identify just one name for submission. After careful consideration, school leaders in attendance opted to submit Mrs. Rebecca Davis for the drawing.
Superintendent Dr. Rob Brown shared that “Mrs. Davis brings a positive attitude and is always trying to make things better for her students and colleagues. She often nominates others for recognition, but seeks none herself.” Associate Superintendent Mrs. Sharon Head commented that “Rebecca seeks to find the good in others--her colleagues and her students. She is a phenomenal middle school math teacher and is truly selfless in serving others.” Principal Mr. Matt Remillard added that “Rebecca is the example of a model teacher at LCMS. She is leader on campus and in the classroom. She is always thinking of ways to serve others, whether that be students, fellow staff members, or parents. She commits these selfless acts each and every day with no intent of being recognized in return.”
Grace Ed Technologies CEO Brent Coleman presented a check for $500 to Mrs. Davis. Congratulations, Mrs. Rebecca Davis!
