Lumpkin County was well represented at the Gwinnett Co. Fair Livestock Show with Carver Bailey winning Grand Champion and Landon Caldwell bringing home Reserve Champion with their Shorthorn heifers. These young men are reaping the harvest of years of hard work! Shout out to Haylo Farms for investing in these young men.

When we say we are One Tribe (#TR1BE), it's because the LC community is just as important to LCSS as we are to our community as a whole. Take Mr. Wall's Carpentry classes as an example. Continuing a partnership with the Ministerial Association here in Dahlonega/Lumpkin County, LCHS students support community members in need by building and then assembling wheelchair ramps! It's a win-win as our students are learning the state curriculum all the while helping those who need it in our community.

Each month, Dr. Brown and his cabinet members spend a couple hours in the teacher role as they fill in as subs. While our new-to-the-profession teachers attend a training to improve their skills, our directors get just as much out of the monthly experience!

Coming soon to a stop near you, our Little Indians Mobile Classroom was designed and built by our high school CTAE students led by our Teaching as a Profession Instructor, Ms. Erin Endicott. The bus and all the resources it's equipped with will serve Lumpkin County children from birth to five years of age!
Be sure to check out the article in tomorrow's Dahlonega Nugget for more information, and stay tuned for a schedule and locations so your infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children can be sure to visit our Little Indians Bus in the coming weeks!
